Oct 29, 2021 Thread: What are you guys using to hold taps in the tailstock? A drill chuck is not enough imo. In some cases I can spin a round shank drill bit in a chuck, if the drill bit does not have the 3 cuts for jaws to grab onto. I would think it worse trying to hold the shank of a tap.
