Feb 12, 2010 For a test I glued two 3/8 x 1 x 18 pieces of aluminum bar together with about 1 square contact area on the ends. Never could get them apart. Glued plastic 1 blocks together as samples (PVC / Delrin / UHMW / Polypropelyne / Polyethelene / ABS), and with the use of Loctite 770 primer, they all stuck to varying degrees.

Wipe down with white vinegar ( acetic acid; makes a good aluminum etch), then epoxy coat with neat epoxy resin or epoxy primer of choice. After cure, you should be able to do your glue-up.
The body is aluminium and the foot is plastic. I have tried gluing it back on with cyanoacrylate glue (aka superglue) and it falls off a few weeks later. The MBP gets hot, and the feet are obviously subject to friction. I feel what it really needs is some glue that will set as rubber (so its flexible) and yet be strong and bond to both surfaces.
